Cartel for Ayotzinapa

Poster designed en selected for de exhibition of the contest convoked by the painter Francisco Toledo, the Oaxaca Art Graphics Institute, the Pro Defensa and Natural and Cultural Heritage Conservation of Oaxaca on the sad and known issue of the forced dissapeared of the students from the Rural School 'Raúl Isidro Burgos'. The 49 posters on display are only a fraction of the over 700 posters submitted to the International Poster Biennial. The plan is for this exhibition to tour the world, starting with locations across Europe, in order to continue raising awareness and promoting the cause of the missing students' relatives, who haven’t stopped marching to find an answer. With a clear focus on alleviating the situation by whatever means necessary, the selected posters have been printed into open editions and all proceeds from their sales will go directly to the families of the 43 students.

With this poster there is a protest contained in my message but also a proposal. The countdown concept the number 43 stands out with the intention to highlight the serious and urgent situation happening in Mexico. It is time to recreate the country with the help of every one.
